My Website

Farmer’s Harvest websites are entirely free – we only charge for the use of the store feature, and there’s no need to use that if you don’t need it!

To get started, click on My Site in the sidebar, and go through each option one-by-one.

Under configuration, you can enable or disable your store, change the email address contact form submissions are delivered to, and add Google Analytics site tracking code. Learn more about Google Analytics tracking here.

Under branding, you can upload your business’ logo, enter your social media links, choose custom colours for your website, and add CSS advanced styling if you’re up for it. If you don’t know what CSS is, don’t worry! You’ll still end up with a great looking website.

To upload your logo, click “Browse” under logo, select your logo’s image file (a PNG with a transparent background is recommended). Enter your full social media URLs (links) in their respective fields.

To change your website’s colour pallette, click on the existing colour, and in the pop-up choose a new colour. The pop-up will look different depending on the browser you’re using. It’s a good idea to have your site open in another tab or window while you’re updating colours so you can easily see your progress and tell which colour changes what.

Be sure to click “Update” at the bottom of the page once you’re done.

Use the Content section to add text to your website’s top bar and footer, and add your policies and terms and conditions if necessary.

If you enter a privacy policy and/or terms and conditions, links to those pages will automatically appear in your site’s footer.

Under Pages, you’ll see that you already have a homepage, and a page for your store (which isn’t active until you finish setting up your store). You can edit your homepage or add a new page to your site. Click and drag the up/down arrows beside an item to rearrange how it will show up in your site’s menu.

If you create or edit any page, you’ll see that the no-code editor is extremely easy to use – just start typing, or click on the Plus button to add a different kind of elements, like images, columns, sections with background colours or photos, and much more. There’s a lot to go through with the editor, so we’ll leave that for another resource – you can learn more about the ins and outs of the “Gutenberg” editor here.

Under Delegate Access, you can give someone who already has a Farmer’s Harvest account access to manage your site and store in just a few clicks. Just click the “Delegate access” button, and enter the email address of someone you know already has a Farmer’s Harvest account. If they don’t already have an account, they’ll need to create one at app.farmersharvest.ca/register first.
